A missing one-year-old girl identified as Pornsiri Wongsilarung and also known by her nickname Gina, has been found alive in a cave where an alleged kidnapper took her to sacrifice her to forest spirits. 44-year-old Siew reportedly abducted Pornsiri from outside the family home in a remote village in Chiang Mai province of Thailand on Sunday afternoon September 5. At the time of the disappearance of the minor who was playing in front of their house, her mother Malee Pasee, 23 was cooking in the kitchen and her father Suriya Wongsilaruang, 43, was taking rubbish to a tip around two miles from their home.  She was discovered missing after her mother finished cooking but did not hear a response. Neighbours said they last saw Pornsiri walking on the road around 10 metres away from home. More than 200 police officers, rescue workers and volunteers searched through nearby homes and woodland for the missing girl. A 28-year-old South African man, Mukhethwa Tshivhase, has allegedly killed his mother with a broomstick because she 'hid their food in her room'  The suspect, a resident of Matangari-Tshiumoni village appeared in the Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, September 7, on a charge of murder.  Limpopo regional spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi said the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, September 5.  He said that the deceased, Caroline Tshivhangwaho Khomola,58, was asleep when her son came home and demanded food from his mother. According to Malabi-Dzhangi, Tshivhase started accusing his mother of hiding their food in her bedroom. He allegedly became so angry that he picked up a broomstick and started assaulting his mother with it. The mother tried to run away but collapsed at the gate.  A two-year-old boy has died after he was forgotten inside a hot car for three hours by his babysitter. Arthur Oliveira dos Santos was being looked after by babysitter Glaucia Aparecida Luiz, 35, who reportedly ran an "unauthorised daycare centre" in her home in Sao Paulo, Brazil, police said. According to police statement, Arthur was tragically forgotten and spent the afternoon in a boiling hot car under the scorching sun, outside the suspect's home. Officers rushed to the scene on Wednesday, August 25, after the boy was discovered, The news reports. They rushed the boy to the hospital but he was confirmed dead on arrival. It is thought the child died of suffocation and dehydration, but an autopsy to confirm the exact cause of death will be taking place soon. A jealous wife allegedly screwed an engineering nut onto her husband's penis when she found out he had been cheating on her. The woman, who lives in Zaporozhye, Ukraine, with her husband, reportedly carried out the act while her husband slept as a way to "avenge the betrayal." As a result, the man's manhood swelled up to the point where he was no longer able to remove the nut. He had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment. Doctors at the 5th City Hospital tried to remove the nut from the man's penis, but failed. They were then left with no option other than to perform surgery to remove the nut. Deputy Chief of Cobra, Eduard Nekhoroshev, said that medics called in the use of special tools, like an angle grinder, to perform the gruesome removal. Eventually, rescuers were able to cut off the nut by carefully slicing the large nut on opposite sides so it fell off. The man remained in hospital under medical supervision following the operation.

A US drone strike carried out overnight, Saturday August 28, has killed an Islamic State "planner", two days after the group claimed a deadly bombing outside Kabul airport. Among the 92 killed in Thursday's suicide blast, claimed by Afghanistan's Islamic State affiliate, were 13 U.S. service members, the most lethal incident for U.S. troops in Afghanistan in a decade. According to the Pentagon, there were no civilian casualties from the strike and US forces were prepared for more attacks from ISIS even as they continue to airlift people out of the war torn Taliban controlled Afghanistan. "Initial indications are that we killed the target. We know of no civilian casualties," the U.S. military said in a statement, referring to the overnight drone strike. U.S. Central Command said the strike took place in Nangarhar province, east of Kabul and bordering Pakistan. It did not say whether the target was connected with the airport attack.
