Before my release there was a terrible Schon, Yora was discovered and taken. Everyone was very sad and angry. (3)
Why am I in the penal colony school catching flies When you first get into the squad from quarantine in the zone, everyone treats you with suspicion. The main rule is that you can't put any information about your squad beyond its limits. Gossip is harshly punished.
⠀
Every unit has its quarrels, innuendo. You're all at work together, then at home. Squad - a huge organism, which functions only with the active participation of all prisoners. It's a big family, where someone is closer, someone is further away. There are friendships, scandals, hierarchy, love and all these adequate and not very things.
⠀
But my story today is not about that, but about our "skeletons in the closet." I'm sure every unit has its own little secrets. Our innocent ban was a pet. We had a Yora lizard in our unit. He was caught in the summer, and in the fall, when I came to the camp, he was already in our barracks. Jora lived in a five-litre tank with a hole cut from the side. There was a pile of earth, branches, hay to camouflage the tank.
Someday, we hid our animal in the back toilet under the tank so that it would be protected in case of a schmoo.
After work, he was often fed cottage cheese and all sorts of goodies in the teahouse (there you need to read a post about the location of the rooms in the barracks, in the teahouse there are no CCTV cameras).
⠀
When spring began, I went to school, and there, in window frames and windowsills, flies began to wake up. My foreman set me a task: every day at school I caught flies in a matchbox and brought yore lunch. The main difficulty was that my classmates from other squads wondered if I was feeling good when I started hunting. But I could not solve the secret according to the rules of the detachment.
Sometimes I was helped by a day school, collected flies in a bag and left me in school.
