Paul Pierce’s career with ESPN has come to an end. The network has recently decided to part ways with the former NBA star just days after he shared a video on his Instagram Live of women twerking.⁠

It is still unknown whether Pierce was fired for the video specifically, but the video went viral over the weekend and drew in lots of attention.⁠

Pierce has been with the network for the past 3.5 years, featuring on “NBA Countdown” and “The Jump.”⁠

Just minutes after being released from ESPN, he tweeted, “Big Things coming soon stay tuned make sure u smile "Truth shall set you free.”⁠

He also posted a video with the message in which he can be seen laughing and smiling.⁠
